Jam Side Up is a Jazz Club hosted at the Calder House Hotel, Seascale, West Cumbria. If you like to play or listen to Jazz or Blues, then you have come to the right web site.

Next Jam Session: Friday 17 February 2012 at the CALDER HOUSE HOTEL, SEASCALE (hopefully uninterrupted by a district power cut on this occasion)
Music starts about 8:00. Please do not be shy about introducing yourselves if you want to join in and play. Bring your instrument or just come and listen!
If you have a piece of music that you want to play, bring a couple of Concert C parts for the Bass and Keyboard or Guitar and your own music in the key of your instrument. If you do not have the Concert C part, check out the Real Book indexes below. The Real Books will be available at the Jam but you'll need to check the arrangement and key before you play on the night.
MUSIC: We are not limited to it, but the club own Sher Music Real Books Volumes 1 2 & 3 also the NW Jazz Real Books in Concert C, Eb and Bb. If you would like to see a complete alphabetic index of tunes from these books, you can click the link below:
The Club would like to thank Mary Clark for donating her music books. These are particularly suited to the vocalists and are all in Concert C. We hope that Mary will continue to share with us in the enjoyment of these books at future Jam sessions.

ARRANGEMENTS AND FILE SHARING: The club has musical arrangements that can be used at the Jam Sessions. You can obtain mp3s of some of the arrangements and some backings.
